Pollution Sucks.
Not the people but the pollution. I enjoy the foreign aspect of being here; the language skills I lack, the food, the different looking people, the huge neon signs with Chinese characters slowly illuminating, the feeling of being out of my element.
However, the oppressive pollution and smog make this experience completely jaded. I'm sure I'll remember the incessant coughing and sore throat, or my inability to see the sky. In fact the one thing I'm reminded of is that scene from "The Matrix" where Morpheus says something akin to "We scorched and burned the sky...".
It feels like that here. Scorched. Burned. Unhealthy.
I've Forgotten.
How insanely difficult it is to be in a country where you don't speak the language or write the language and you need to get home and taxi driver gives you an equally insane look like you're a gibbering idiot.

So I've confirmed the phone posting works just fine, and more so with pix.
What next? Well besides changing the style of the site which I'm not so in love with I want to post up all the fun little widgets out there; Twitter, etc.
If you've got any rec's on fun widgets that won't make the already assy site look assier, post them in the comments (need to test that too) and I'll check it out.
Again I'm not so sure I love using Blogger, but I just got sick of messing around with things every time a damn upgrade was made. It seems easier just to rely on the power of a huge corporation to work on making things better and then rolling it out without my help.

Ok I finally gave up on MT when, for some unexplained reason to my non-technical and impatient brain, I was unable to post past my first 2 posts. Hours later I said "f this" and decided to start over again.
